I’ve been wanting to continue writing technical articles for sites other than my own, so the life event of getting laid off at the end of 2023 let me do just that. :)

I found Michael & the TestDriven.io team through Philip Kiely’s website whopaystechnicalwriters.com which is truly an excellent resource.

Briefly, the article is about using the Alembic tool from the Python ecosystem which manages database migrations and pairs nicely with the popular ORM package SQLAlchemy. However, as my article goes into, the mental model for working with Alembic is slightly different than every other database migration tool I’ve used. If that sounds interesting to you I’d love if you gave it a read.
